Mapping the research publication trends among ICAR-Animal Sciences Research Institutes in India: Web of Science-based scientometric study

In the current study we have undertaken scientometric analysis to map research publications from 19 different animal science institutions under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), for a period two decades (1998 2020), using Web Science (WoS) platform Clarivate Analytics. We analyzed parameters like year-wise citation records, institute-wise publication output, authorship pattern, types, top collaborating countries, areas and journals, relative growth rate doubling time. Current revealed that maximum number articles were published in 2017 ICAR-Indian Veterinary Institute contributed highest papers citations during thestudy period. Multi-authorship significantly higher than single double-authored papers. The showed field sciences, USA is collaborator with India resulting 417 collaborative Journal Animal Sciences carried by researchers ICAR-Animal Institutes (ASRI) 1998-2020. Relative Growth Rate (RGR) decreasing trend while time increased this paper provides comprehensive account trends sciences also insights strengthening focus India.
